摘要
Background: While the need to diversify dermatology curricula in undergraduate medical education (UME) is well established (1), current studies of the dearth of skin of color (SoC) in UME curricula evaluate a narrow range of skin conditions, lack of control groups, and use post-course-only evaluation designs. (2-7) In a rural medical school, an audit of our dermatology course revealed the underrepresentation of darker skin types. Therefore, we increased the representation of diverse skin types in the course and evaluated these interventions using more robust evaluation methods.
