Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) pathways aim to improve perioperative practice, with shorter lengths of hospital stay and reduced complications. Although thoracic epidural analgesia (TEA) is recommended in ERAS guidelines for colorectal and pancreatic surgery, there is controversy regarding the role of TEA in patients undergoing surgery for gynecologic cancer. The aim of our study was to characterize the impact of TEA in gynecologic oncology patients managed according to ERAS principles.
