Research on Optimal Configuration Method of Shared Energy Storage Considering System Economy

Shared Energy Storage (SES) has significant advantages in reducing investment costs and enhancing energy storage utilization. The optimized configuration of SES is recently a hot research topic. In this paper, a user side SES structure is proposed, analyzing the role positioning, service types, and main contradictions of each subject under the SES model. In response to the configuration problem of SES, this paper proposes three configuration methods: capacity leased, energy shared, and dynamic capacity allocation. A multi-scenario comparison model considering different loads and energy storage investment costs was established. Through numerical simulation, the benefits of different configuration methods are analyzed, providing reference for SES investment decision-making. The results indicate that SES is more cost-effective through energy shared configuration, and can generate mutually beneficial outcomes for both operators and users.
