Structural Evaluation in steel roofs for the application of photovoltaic modules

Structural analysis is necessary for any photovoltaic installation, however industrial installations, in general, do not consider the overload of placing photovoltaic modules when they are designed. The evolution in steel construction, which surpasses what is imaginable, has been accompanied by structural collapses and loss of human lives, some of them caused by overloads not foreseen in the project. In many cases monitored by EQS Global, it was necessary to reinforce the structures, taking into account the on-site inspection and the result of the structural project that pointed out these needs. The development of a project, in whatever sector of activity, or whatever the installation in question, demands that specific requirements be met, whether defined by the client or by the standards in force. We present below one of the cases of Structural Evaluation in steel roofing.
