摘要
Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) utilizing differential target multiplexed programming continuously (2-days) provided significant improvements on mechanical and thermal hypersensitivity in an animal model of chronic neuropathic pain. It also modulated gene expression within pain-related biological processes toward the levels of naïve animals1,2,3. Clinical results demonstrated long-term sustainability of pain relief of in patients with intractable chronic neuropathic pain4. This study presents evidence that differential target multiplexed SCS provides relief of mechanical sensitivity at different stages of the pain model and when applied continuously for 23 days.
