Future research and remarks on MCDM sorting

The chapter briefly describes the trends on MCDM sorting methodology so far and points out the new trends on the topic. For the former trends, the related topics and results obtained are briefly mentioned. The chapter also highlights different novel situations in MCDM sorting. The need to develop novel and applied research on MCDM sorting methods is noted, as this will lead to better resolution of many real-world problems. At the same time, these methods should deal with situations with either many alternatives that need to be automatically managed or alternatives that need to be classified in ordered categories. Finally, the value of this book and future research lines on the current topic are pointed out.
