Water Splitting In article number 2300505, Cailei Yuan and co-workers report an ingenious approach to assemble Ni and Fe dual atoms into the interlayer of MoS2. The interlayer-confined structure provides a microenvironment highly boosting the catalytic process, and meanwhile a protective “shelter” for active metal atoms away from acid corrosion, agglomeration, and detachment. The interlayer-confined strategy provides a new direction for single-atom catalysts development in the future.
