Reply- letter to the editor

We thank Ayçiçek et al. [1]. for their interest and comments on our study [2]. In a letter to the editor, they suggest using Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA-SF) instead of MUST (Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool) score. We agree that for the studied population, MNA may be more adequate, but MUST screening tool has been adopted in all the hospitals of our country as the mandatory screening tool. Therefore we used this tool as an indicator of patients at risk of malnutrition. In addition there is no consensus on the gold standard tool for nutritional screening [3–5].
