MCDM sorting methods

In Multiple-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM), sorting problems refer to sorting decision options into predefined and ordered categories, according to criteria that characterize the acceptability of decision alternatives. The wide range of real-world sorting problems has constituted the major motivation for researchers in developing methodologies for developing sorting methods. In this chapter, we introduce several sorting methods based on classical MCDM, such as AHPSort, ANPSort, FlowSort, DEASort, and so on. Across this chapter, it is further inspiring to see that with more research in the MCDM area for sorting problems, the sorting method with the aid of general extensions based on MCDM technique can be enriched in both theories and applications.
