摘要
Introduction Hypertensive pregnancy disorders (HPD) are among the three leading causes of death in pregnant women. Worldwide, 5-10% of pregnant women suffer from HPD and it is associated with a high morbidity and mortality rate. HDP related placental dysfunction is correlated with impaired fetal development, but the impact on body composition, especially on fat-free mass (FFM), which is a good parameter for neonatal neurodevelopment is not fully investigated so far. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of HPD on growth and body composition (BC) in preterm infants.
