Abstract
This paper proposes an optimization problem for distribution system planning (DSP) in project aimed at ensuring load conversion capabilities during emergencies. The proposed method formulates objective functions to minimize line reinforcement costs and non-convertible capacity, and establishes constraints for system configuration, power flow, and outage-sensitive customers. Additionally, the multi-objective optimization problem for DSP is transformed into a single-objective function using the Epsilon-constraints based Multi-Objective Problem (E-MOP) technique. In a case study, to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, simulations were conducted on a 37-bus test system. The results of the proposed method were derived a Pareto-front set of optimal DSP solutions, considering the two objective functions with inversely proportional relationships. These results could be provided an optimal solution for DSP, and supported the decision-making of the distribution system operator (DSO).
