Exploring Molecular Interactions in Two Aqueous Alkanolamines Mixtures Using Refractive Indices and Molecular Probes

•Solvatochromic polarity descriptors for two aqueous alkanolamines mixtures were obtained.•Excess molar refractions were estimated from recently derived refractive índices of the ideal mixtures.•Pear-shaped graphical representations between excess partial molar refractions and excess volumes were explored.•Insights on structural details across the whole composition range were gained from solvent polarity and optical properties.
