摘要
Abstract Objective: The aim of the present study was to evaluate crestal bone loss rate around dental implants according to different factors after three-years follow-up. Material and Methods: Patients receiving Dental Implants (Ostem) were recruited. Follow-up was conducted for three Crestal Bone loss were measured according to change both in mesial and distal marginal bone level. Crestal Bone loss rate was compared according to demographic parameters in patients, height, diameter and location of dental implants, type of bone graft material, treatment plan and crown height, using SPSS 18.0 software (p < 0.05). Results: Crestal Bone loss both in mesial and distal location were significantly lower in posterior dental implants with graft (p = 0.021 and 0.012 respectively). Also, amount of crestal bone loss in sub-crestal dental implants was significantly lower (p = 0.034 for mesial and 0.007 for distal). Crestal Bone loss in 8-11 mm crown bone height was significantly lower (p = 0.003 for mesial and p = 0.005 for distal). Single-unit dental implants have significantly lower crestal bone loss in comparison to multiple-unit ones (p = 0.019 for mesial and p = 0.022 for distal). Conclusion and clinical relevance; According to our findings, some factors like using bone graft material, fixture type, treatment plan and crown bone height can influence crestal bone loss after three years, while other factors like patients’ age and gender, dental implant height and diameter does not influence crestal bone loss around dental implant
