Sarcopenia is a Negative Predictor for Postoperative Survival in Patients with Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma
Zeitschrift für Gastroenterologie(2023)
摘要
Background Pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a malignant tumor originating from the pancreatic ductal epithelium with generally poor prognosis for the affected patients. Unfortunately, many patients are diagnosed with advanced disease, resulting in only a small proportion of patients that can receive a curative, surgical therapy. In addition, these patients are frequently already in a reduced general condition. To date, few reliable prognostic markers to select patients who benefit from surgical treatment are available.
