Agricultural Soil Management and Ecorestoration Under Climate Change

In this chapter, agricultural soil management and ecorestoration practices under climate change are reviewed. The chapter is structured in three sections. First, a discussion on how climate change affects agricultural soil is presented. Then, some case studies, discuss sustainable soil management practices and ecorestoration under climate change, are outlined. Finally, key recommendations for sustainable soil management are summarized. The contribution of many soil management practices (e.g., agroforestry, conservation tillage, efficient drainage, etc.), ecorestoration approaches toward sustainable soils and ecosystems has been revealed in this chapter. Also, these practices are identified as good measures to minimize the severity of soil degradation processes. However, more work is needed to suggest future directions for monitoring the utility of these conservation measures.
