Nanoadsorbents in adsorption chromatography

This review aims to provide researchers with a better understanding of effective nanoadsorbents in adsorption chromatography. Furthermore, this study underlines the need of improving adsorption capacity by changing nanoadsorbents and producing nanocomposites as value-added commodities. Potential issues and directions for using nanocomposites in adsorption chromatography are emphasized in light of their removal capacities and cost efficiency. The goal of future research should be to develop a low-cost nanocomposite production technology in adsorption chromatography applications. To assess their feasibility, more research on the efficiency of nanoadsorbents on a pilot or industrial scale is needed to assess their practicality. The current condition and future prospects of nanoadsorbent materials and their applications in the adsorption process will be discussed in this chapter. Microsorbents were formerly used, but nanoadsorbents possess a superior effect due to their wider surface area, and the addition of their ability to be easily removed and reusability provides many advantages for industrial applications.
