It is PRIME time to streamline the prostate cancer MRI diagnostic pathway

A switch to pre-biopsy multiparametric MRI as the first investigation in patients with a clinical suspicion of prostate cancer has resulted in capacity issues that may mean not all men will be tested in a timely manner. Biparametric MRI might produce similar results using fewer resources and thus help tackle the capacity issues. A new trial is designed to test whether the strategy could work.
