Bringing precision medicine to patients with telehealth

The completion of the Human Genome Project at the start of the century moved the concept of the ability to define treatment and/or prevention based on genetic and/or molecular profiling from possibility to reality. The actualization of that reality has proved more challenging. Telehealth, the digitization of medicine, was initiated in the last century and encompasses multiple synchronous and asynchronous technologic clinical care facilitators. In this Chapter, we will discuss the role for telehealth in increasing access to precision medicine interventions.
