Sleep quality in adult women with different levels of physical activity

The present study aimed to analyze the influence of the level of physical activity on the sleep quality in brazilian women. Twenty-nine adult women participated in this study, with a mean age of 33 (IIQ= 13.5) years. The level of physical activity was assessed by Baecke questionnaire on habitual physical activity and to measure the sleep quality, the Pittsburgh sleep quality index was used. Participants were divided into groups with higher and lower level of physical activity, according to the score obtained in the Baecke questionnaire on habitual physical activity. Then, the sleep quality was compared between groups by classification, components, and score obtained in the Pittsburgh sleep quality index.
