摘要
Introduction and Objective Isthmocele is defined as a defect at the level of a previous uterine cesarean incision. This can lead to various gynecological and obstetrical problems. Surgical treatment is indicated if symptoms arise, but the correction of an isthmocele is not standardized. By a combination of hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, the so-called rendez-vous technique, the defect can be visualized by hysteroscopy and then identified by transillumination through the abdominal cavity offering an optimal basis for laparoscopic resection and repair. The aim of this study was to investigate this surgical approach regarding its impact on sonographic findings of the scar area, symptoms and quality of life (QOL).
