HPV 67 in Cervical Metastasis of a Squamos Cell Carcionama in a Patien with "cancer of Unknown Primary"
Laryngo-, Rhino-, Otologie(2023)
摘要
Introduction Cervical lymph node metastases of squamos cell carcinomas are frequent cause of neck swelling. Immunohistochemical detection of p16 and detection of HPV DNA from the tumor cells suggest a primary cancer in the oropharynx. In 95% of all cases, it shows HPV type 16. The examination protocols allow the detection of other high-risk HPV types, such as types 31 and 33. Although HPV type 67 is classified as a high-risk strain by the WHO, it has never been described as the trigger of HNSCC in the literature.
