摘要
This paper studies excitation-dependent energy dissipation in friction process under both commensurate and incommensurate states between graphene layers. The results show that when excitation frequency of tip is equal to its natural frequency, friction resonance and its accompanying broken phenomena occur in both contact states, which even leads to breakdown of system. The origin of friction resonance is disclosed systematically through fast Fourier transform of instantaneous friction force. Moreover, the influence of rising temperature on frictional energy dissipation is opposite between commensurate and incommensurate cases, which can be ascribed to net effect between thermal lubrication and thermal collision. Finally, we quantitatively detect phononic mechanism of frictional energy dissipation via calculating phonon number in different contact states.
