摘要
Focused laser beams make it possible to control the mechanical movement of objects and can serve as a tool for assembling complex micro- and nanostructures in space. Increasing the number of degrees of freedom in optomechanical manipulation suggests approaching new possibilities. In this work, we analyze the optical forces acting on a silicon sphere in a focused Gaussian beam and reveal new modes of particle motion. Multipolar analysis allows you to show new scenarios of trapping or anti-trapping, as well as introduce curving trajectories, depending on the general parameters of the system. Multipolar force engineering paves the way for new possibilities in microfluidic applications, including sorting and micro assembly of arbitrary volumetric structures. #CSOC1120.
