Classification of the Population Health Status with the MR-Sort Method

The research studies the population’s health in a region of Mexico. The health evaluation concerns a municipality of a northern region, developed with a multicriteria decision-making sorting method. A total of 18 municipalities were classified with the MR-sort method into three categories of health status based on the morbidity and mortality of the population. The classification process assigned eight municipalities to the good health class and four to the bad health class. The analysis of death based on morbidity diseases is evidence of the population’s health status.
