摘要
The importance of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications in the wide area communication networks set various challenges to cellular technologies such as the Long-Term Evolution (LTE) standard. The massive number of M2M devices generates small bursts of infrequent data packets with a wide range of delay requirements. Therefore, the main problems of M2M communications are resource allocation and satisfaction with the Quality of Service (QoS) of devices. In addition, it makes a massive race to existing Human-to-Human (H2H) devices for getting radio resources, affecting the performance of H2H communications. So, the scheduling procedure is essential to allocate physical resources for suitable users according to a specific algorithm. The Proposed Uplink Scheduler based on Reservation Adaption of Resources (UP_RAR) testing has been made for two scenarios and compared with different kinds of famous packet schedulers. In general, the (UP_RAR) algorithm maximizes resource utilization as it increases throughput for H2H for both scenarios. At the same time, the delay has been improved for the second scenario. Also, the performance is increased with an acceptable limit for the first scenario. Conversely, it had satisfied the QoS for M2M, and the traffic of M2M will not be affected.
