摘要
Developmental hemostasis describes the continuous evolution of procoagulant and anticoagulant factors over time starting in neonates and progressing through infancy, childhood, and into adulthood. Through this process, both quantitative and qualitative changes in components responsible for hemostatic balance occur across primary, secondary, and tertiary hemostasis. It is critical to recognize the fluctuations in the level and function of components that occur in order to interpret laboratory values and guide clinical decision-making.
