摘要
Nano-schistose MSH was incorporated to enhance the tribological properties of phosphate/graphite composite coatings at various friction temperatures. The composite coatings demonstrated optimum friction-reducing and anti-wear performance at 200 degrees C due to synergistic friction between nano-schistose MSH and graphite. However, the friction-reducing performance of the composite coatings declined at 500 degrees C due to the structural cleavage of nano-schistose MSH. Nevertheless, a composite tribo-film with exceptional mechanical properties was in-situ formed on the worn surface through tribo-chemical and mechano-chemical reactions between nano-schistose MSH and the counterface. Consequently, further abrasion on the worn surface was effectively reduced during the friction process, resulting in a significantly prolonged service life of the composite coatings even at 500 degrees C.
