Parameter Identification Considering Inverter Nonlinearity and Iron Loss for PMSM

Aiming at the problems of strong coupling, nonlinearity, and low identification accuracy of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) parameters, a method considering the impact of inverter nonlinearity and iron loss is proposed to identify parameters of PSMSM in this paper. Firstly, an improved mathematical model of the motor is established. Then, two back-to-back connected PMSMs are driven in motoring or generating mode by changing the positive and negative values of the rotating speed or q-axis current. Parameters of $dq$-axis flux, apparent inductance, phase resistance are identified offline through a two-step method. Finally, the proposed method is verified on a PMSM by experiment.
