Response Regarding: Surgical Residencies Need in Person Interviews.

We thank Dr David Blitzer and his colleagues for their interest and thoughtful comments on our article about interviewing for a general surgery residency before and during the coronavirus disease-19 pandemic.1 We agree with them regarding the importance of in-person interviews for both programs and applicants. We believe that, to provide an equitable and fair interview process, programs should offer in-person and virtual interviews, which is our current practice in our program after 2 y of virtual interviews.
