Scattering Analysis of Ensembles of Cylinders using a 2-Layer T-matrix Algorithm

The electromagnetic scattering of randomly distributed ensembles of cylinders illuminated under oblique incidence of plane waves is analyzed using a modification of the Recursive Aggregated Centered T-matrix Algorithm (RACTMA). Due to the groupwise concentration of the scatterer in the investigated geometry, it is demonstrated that the computational costs of the RACTMA can be considerably reduced by modifying the algorithm using a 2-layer procedure. Numerical examples prove the accuracy and computational efficiency of the proposed method.
