Digital-Coding based on a Phase-Change Material for Optically Preconfigurable Metasurfaces

摘要
This work introduces a preconfigurable meta-surface using 1-bit coding to control the anomalous reflection of a THz wave under oblique excitation through the optical activation of GeTe phase-change material. Such metasurfaces can be conceptualized as coarsely distributed tiles forming a static inhomogeneous hypersurface with corresponding locally assigned, preconfigured beam processing capabilities.
