Inverse Design of Silicon Photonics Components: A Study from Deep Learning Perspective

We study three different deep-learning methods for inverse design of photonic devices. Treating the device structures as images, a big dataset of the structures and their characteristics are used for building the models. The models are then asked to design devices with the desired characteristics.
