Glyphosate and AMPA in saliva and other traditional human matrices. New findings for less invasive biomonitoring to the exposure to pesticides

•Environmental and occupational exposure to glyphosate was assessed.•Glyphosate and AMPA were evaluated in urine, plasma and saliva samples.The highest concentrations of glyphosate and AMPA were found in saliva.•Statistically highest levels of analytes were found in the saliva of the workers.•Saliva samples are relevant to evaluate different levels and scenarios of exposure.
