A Novel Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption Supporting Dual Membership.

Attribute-based encryption (ABE), which was first conceptualized by Sahai and Waters in 2005, has been applied to many different environments nowadays. Various variants of ABE has been designed and proposed in literature. Recently, Lu et al. proposed a new ABE supporting dual membership predicates. Unfortunately, we found that Lu et al.’s scheme fails to achieve non-membership. In this manuscript, we design a new ABE scheme supporting dual membership. As we will show in the manuscript, our scheme is the only ABE scheme realizing membership and non-membership predicates for access structures.
