A Novel DC-DC Boost Converter with High Voltage Conversion Ratio and Zero Current Ripple for Fuel Cell Application

In this paper, a novel nonisolated DC-DC converter with high voltage conversion ratio has been proposed for fuel cell application. Using equal number of devices, the converter achieves higher voltage gain and wider voltage gain range than other zero current ripple converters. Besides, it also remains attractive in stresses across different components, and the common ground between the both sides enhances the dynamic performance of the converter. A 1 kW experimental prototype was developed to validates the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed converter.
