摘要
Recycling of metals has become one of the most important concerns in the modern industrial development. The availability of the rare earth metals keeps on decreasing and the cost of mining increases as we go to higher depth of the planet. Not all metals can be recycled but majority of them can be used till they reach their recyclable cycle limits. Till then they can be used for construction and designing purposes. Metals can be separated by various aspects. The major one is separating metals with their magnetic property. Ferrous metals and non-Ferrous metals. Ferrous metals or alloys or those which have iron in their compounds so that they get attracted to magnetic field. Nonferrous are those which are not attracted to magnetic lines of force but still exhibit some characteristics when they are brought close to magnetic fields. With this property in the metals, they can be separated as magnetic and non-magnetic metals. This is done in metal and alloy industries where, while recycling is done this is one the efficient methods to separate metals having different properties.
