Design of Multi-Functional Reconfigurable Microwave Photonic Chip

摘要
A multi-functional reconfigurable microwave photonic chip is proposed and theoretically demonstrated. Incorporated with cascaded Mach-Zehnder interferometers (MZIs) and planar Bragg gratings, the device could operate as optical differentiation (OD), optical integration (OI) and optical Hilbert transform (HT). The optical functions obtain continuous adjustability and exceed the OI bandwidth of 480 GHz and HT bandwidth of 650 GHz respectively. It could be realized on the silica-on-silicon platform, with the benefits of simple and compact structure, low loss and reconfigurable prospects.
