Successful treatment of an anastomotic leakage after total gastrectomy using a fully covered self-expandable metal stent with an anchoring thread: A case report

•Endoscopic stent replacement is useful for refractory anastomotic leakage at the esophagojejunostomy after total gastrectomy.•Stent anchoring with external fixation with thread is effective for preventing the migration of fully covered self-expandable metal stent.
