Multi-method approach for new vehicle purchasing problem through MCGDM technique under cylindrical neutrosophic environment

This research work supports the perception of the multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) approach to foster the problem of suitable vehicle selection on the cylindrical neutrosophic number (CNN) environment. The purpose of this research is to choose a suitable vehicle under specific criteria that are related to economic, environmental, and social factors throughout all age classes to enhance humanitarian convenience and welfare. To aggregate the decisions given by the decision-makers, power arithmetic averaging (PAA) and power geometric averaging (PGA) aggregation operators are used to aggregate their choices. Our improved MCGDM technique is fruitfully utilised to address the problem of the selection of a new vehicle through four different methodologies: Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR), Evaluation Based on Distance from Average Solution (EDAS), and Grey Relational Analysis (GRA). Here, a numerical simulation has been performed on the basis of the survey data. Basic statistical techniques are also used for a comprehensive understanding of our output. Moreover, a thorough sensitivity analysis has been executed by altering the weights of the attributes to assess the accuracy and stability of the obtained outcome. A comparison analysis has been fostered with established techniques to testify the usefulness and effectiveness of our suggested MCGDM technique. After experimenting with various decision-making strategies, we have noticed that our proposed MCGDM problem in CNN environment delivers stable, robust, and consistent results when TOPSIS methodology is followed. This research also reflects that, amongst the three kinds of vehicles (petrol, diesel, and e-vehicle), the petrol vehicle is selected as the most suitable one irrespective of all age classes.
