In-situ Synthesis of FeV2O4@Fe3C Heterostructures Embedded in the Carbon Nanosheets for Lithium Ion Batteries

Transition metal vanadates have become the focus of anode materials research due to their abundant raw material reserves, high theoretical capacity and higher electrochemical activity than single metal oxides. However, the shortcomings such as low electrical conductivity, severe aggregation and volume expansion can lead to poor electrochemical performance. Herein, the FeV2O4@Fe3C heterostructures embedded in the carbon nanosheets are designed and prepared, which delivers the outstanding lithium ion storage performance owing to the synergetic effect between FeV2O4 and Fe3C@C. This work could offer an effective avenue for the heterostructure design and performance improvement of anode electrodes for lithium ion batteries.
