A Wideband Filter Based on Shielded QMSIW Loading Complementary Split Ring Resonators

In this paper, a minimized bandpass filter (BPF) with wide passband is demonstrated based on shielded quarter-mode substrate integrated waveguide (S-QMSIW) cavity. The loaded complementary split ring resonators (CSRRs) can enhance the coupling between SIW cavities. The Cross-coupling further enhances the coupling between input and output and introduce a transmission zero. The wideband filter is operated at 14.09 GHz. The fractional bandwidth is 44.5% and the insertion loss (IL) is 0.98 dB.
