Conception and Optimization of Photovoltaic Thermal Collector- Parametric Study

In this paper, the evaluation of performances of a hybrid photovoltaic thermal (PVT) collector based on a new integrated absorber configuration is performed. The optimization is made in reference of climatic and design parameters. The objective is to improve efficient of PVT collector by cheaper materials and simpler implementation. On the first hand, two serpentine absorber of hybrid collectors, are defined as PVT water collector, are considered. On the second hand, a new absorber configuration for hybrid collector was presented. Then we compared it to same model with different parameters. The last proposed design has the advantage of a simpler implementation and a lower cost compared to other configurations of PVT hybrid collectors. Finally, a numerical simulation program has been developed in order to calculate the thermal parameters of this new design of PVT -water collector.
