PANI-based Nanocomposites Synthetic Methods, Properties, and Catalytic Applications

The catalytic applications of PANI-based nanocomposites have increased in recent years. Polyaniline (PANI) is an important conducting polymer known for its high conductivity, simple preparation, and reasonable stability. The synthesis of PANI (via chemical, electrochemical, polymerization, enzymatic methods, and nanocomposites by grafting and electrospinning techniques) has been described. Based on the synthesis, different optical, electrical, mechanical, and electrothermal properties are discussed briefly. PANI nanocomposites have been combined with different organic/inorganic materials, and their catalytic behavior in different reactions and processes has been elaborated. PANI nanocomposites have proven their capability and recyclability in various catalytic reactions.
