Analysis of genital tract infection in gynecology outpatient in qinghai

[Objective] To understand the situation of genital tract infection,and to prevent and reduce female repro-ductive health problems and diseases.[Methods] 1 893 female outpatients with genital tract infection in maternal and child care service centre of Qinghai from January to December 2007 were investigated.[Results] 1 324 cases had reproductive tract infection.The prevalence of nonlocal patients reached to 82.05%.People with high educational level had the low prevalence rate.Patients with 2 to 3 infective diseases accounted for 35.95%;The highest incidence rate of infection disease was cervical,which accounted for 65.79%.The rates of bacterial vaginosis,chlamydia and mycoplasma infection,vulvovaginal candidiasis in-fection,trichomonas infection,sexually transmitted infection,pelvic inflammation and regular use of condoms accounted for 21.22%,15.03%,12.39%,11.4%,4.76%,5.36% and 5.44%,respectively.The awareness of time of menstrual period gen-ital cleaning and washing the genital interval,route of infection,cotreatment for sexual partners and spouses,meaning of iso-lation after infection showed association with economic status and degree of education.[Conclusion] We should strengthen the reproductive health education,especially for the low level of education,health care and poor conditions of migrant women to step up prevention and treatment of reproductive tract infections and promote consultation and active in the prevention of reproductive tract infections,sexually transmitted diseases treatment and condom utilization.
