The human activities, especially the energy production from fossil fuels and the transport sector, produce huge amounts of CO
2
, which is a greenhouse gas [1]. In this context, developing and expanding phototrophic microalgae production is a suitable way to reduce the greenhouse effect by converting the anthropogenic CO
2
into organic mass and oxygen. It should be also mentioned that the organic mass, including algae, is a high added value product.
