Frequency Selective Rasorber With Ultrawide Low Reflection Band and Wide Transmission Band Based on Dual Resistive Layers

In this paper, an ultra-wideband frequency selective rasorber (FSR) with wide transmission band is presented. Dual resistive layers are utilized and designed separately to realize the ultrawide reflection suppression band, both of which achieves the same broadband transmission band. Together with the bandpass frequency selective surface (FSS) corresponding to the wide passband, the full-wave simulation results show that the proposed FSR exhibits a -10 dB reflection suppression band ranging from 1.01 GHz to 11.83 GHz and a -1 dB transmission band covering 8.36-11.63 GHz simultaneously. The relative bandwidth of absorption rate over 90% achieves 151.0%, ranging from 1.01 GHz to 7.23 GHz, which is the widest of all the A-T type FSRs published previously. Equivalent circuit model (ECM) has also been constructed to provide further insight into the structure and highly consistency between the circuit analysis and EM simulation can be observed. Moreover, the angular stability of the proposed FSR can achieve 60° under TM-polarized and 45° under TE-polarized incidence.
