α-Fe2O3@C/MXene composites with core-shell structures applied as electrodes for pseudo-supercapacitors

α-Fe2O3@C/MXene composites were successfully synthesized by a two-step hydrothermal method, and their composition and structures were investigated by XRD, SEM, TEM, and XPS instruments. Then, the electrochemical behaviors under different scanning rates were gradually measured. The specific capacitance of the α-Fe2O3@C/MXene composite with MXene usage of 0.4mg/mL was about 40.85F/g at the scanning rate of 10mV/s. The change rates of mass specific capacitance are only 84.98%. And the BET surface area is about 28.4 m2/mg The MXene loading on α-Fe2O3@C electrodes may effectively alleviate the changes of the mass ratio and the capacitance at a higher scanning rate. Finally, the pseudo-capacitance contribution of α-Fe2O3@C/MXene composites was quantitatively evaluated by the dynamic analysis at different scanning rates.
