Tuning the structural and electronic characteristics of La0.07Sr0.93SnO3 thin films through co-doping with antimony

The electronic structure of co-doped SrSnO3 (SSO) thin films were investigated using photoemission and X-ray absorption spectroscopy. We studied the band structure of SSO and its tuning with La/Sb co-doping at A- and B-sites. We observed an increased conduction bandwidth with doping due to the reduced oxygen octahedral tilting. The presence of oxygen vacancies at the film’s surface and the electron doping resulted in the reduction of Sn4+ to Sn2+. High transmittance (>80%) along with a conductivity of 200 S.cm−1 was observed.
