A Wideband Millimeter-wave MIMO Antenna for 5G Applications in the n260 Frequency Band

This paper describes a wideband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna that features four compact antenna elements placed orthogonally and partial ground structures are connected by circular ring for improved isolation. An inset-feed rectangular radiator is attached with two stubs, which help improve impedance. Orthogonal placement of the antenna elements improves the isolation. The MIMO antenna has an impedance bandwidth (S11 < -10 dB) ranging from 34.7 to 43 GHz and covers the n260 frequency band for 5G communication. The transmission coefficient is less than -19 dB over the entire frequency bandwidth.
