Total Quality Management (TQM) for clean, affordable and reliable energy in research and development lab - A case-study from north east India

Total Quality Management (TQM) is amongst the most employed tool in industries be it production or process industries and R&D organization is no exemption. In order to excel in research for innovating and developing new technologies keeping in mind the sustainable development goals (SDGs) to enhance the quality of human life, the research and development (R&D) organizations thrive to implement quality systems in every walks of organizational structure. Addressing energy issues is the main objective of the R&D labs, and hence the primary goal of SDG 7 can be met by adopting TQM. This paper focuses on the achievement of SDG 7 through implementing TQM as stated by the mission statement of the select R&D lab of north east India.
